I think the technology is great anymore. I remember having to try and tune my guitar to a pitch tuner back in the day…could never get a guitar to stay in tune. Think that is why I kept putting the instrument down so many times until a few years ago.

The tab is located on the lower right hand side of the video, but as to actual sheet music, I don’t think so…I don’t have it in front of me, but I think Tony does sometimes place the musical notation on the tab…but I am not 100% on this.

I just double checked, and Tony does give you the notation for the music as well as tab.

Keeps happening to me. I am again, back to 1 and my history has me last logging in in Dec 69. So not sure what keeps going on with this, I will just keep logging in for the daily lesson, but the web site problems continue on.

If you are just starting out, you may be a bit stiff. I know I have to give the hands a pretty good stretch before I play, and even then sometimes the pinky stretch doesn’t always go as clean as I want. Just keep plugging away though, Spiker, and you will start to see improvement. Normal stuff for the time being.

I don’t really post videos of my playing songs as of yet, but I use Youtube as you mentioned, but also Ultimate Guitar Tabs…that is where I can usually get chords or tabs for the songs I want to play. You can pay for the premium site, but I usually just go with the free stuff and try to get it as close as I can to what I remember the song sounded like. I am sure others have different ways they learn.

For me, Borfaux, that is just a tonal difference. I think the 3rd Fret E, B e and the 2Fret A sound a bit richer than the E-e version. But I first learned the E-e version, and thought that was fine as well. Then you have a Malcom Young type version where you don’t fret the 2 Fret A at all and just use the others-it sounds good too. I would say use whichever you prefer. Lots of ways to skin this guitar cat and make them sound good.

I miss that as well OwenGL. The tone change and the echo throw me off to a point I don’t bother going any other speed. I will just try with my metronome instead. I guess in a way, it did push me to use that a bit more…but I don’t think that was the intent.

I was back to one..came back to check forums before I head to bed…and now I am up to 3. Wonder what ti will be tomorrow.

Yeah, the new site is still having issues. Last week people couldn’t see the lessons on certain devices, and I a fairly sure they designed this site to be specifically used for cell phones and ipads…so who knows.
