  • Many thanks to Dr_Dave and JumpinJeff as I have now located the TABS. As a novice at flat picking, I’ll probably rue the day that I randomly chose this music but, heck, there’s a challenge there and I can’t ignore it!

Still confused. If I do the google search, there are no hits on words like ‘strum’ vs ‘pluck’, no hits that I’ve found for ‘hammer’ or ‘slide’ or ‘bend’. I’m sure I’m missing something but I haven’t located the answers yet. I’ve got many years of piano playing behind me so reading music is not the problem – only the guitar-specific notation.

    Hi Whilbs

That does help – I notice on bugs bunny, the arrow going up has 1/4 at the top – does that mean bend for 1/4 beat or something like that.

I want to thank @ZADavid for asking the question. I’ve been in TAC since December and I have a lifetime of piano and classical guitar background. I’m often disillusioned by my progress. But flat-picking, for example, is totally new to me and I’m encouraged by seeing the responses to your question. A forum might help me too.

Absolutely beautiful and played without any hesitancy. Loved it

Thanks Loraine and Whilbs – I’m glad the TAC community works whereas the website is a small shell of what it used to be. Loraine > this responding to questions is really keeping you busy – thanks for your support.
