Try this. It works to gets over the hump while you are building callouses.

Well done! I loved it!

I encourage you to keep playing even on the improv day. Really, Tony could have called it “scale day,” but that wouldn’t sound as fun. You will miss some important theory and technique by not playing on Wednesdays. That being said I doubt many of us have any inclination to stand on stage and shred a solo. Just enjoy the ride and have fun!

Hey all! I’ve been TAC-ing for two years now and feel it’s time to start Fretboard Wizard. I clicked the icon on the menu bar (left) and nothing. Says “Whoa…looks like you don’t have access” but no way to sign up. I’ve looked around but can’t see how to sign up – or even what the cost is for FW. Can you help a gal out???? Thanks in advance!

Congrats! I’m just a couple days behind you. My 2nd TACiversary was May 8. I echo everything you have said and have been struggling with whether to continue with TAC or try another platform that also has the option of learning tunes — preferably rock. (I’m not at all into bluegrass!) But I am continuing because I feel like I’m on the verge of a breakthrough! And I like Tony’s teaching style!

Thanks for the tip! I’m actually working on Hate Myself right now as a way to gain strength with my barre and power chords. I can’t wait until to listen to this!

Everyone before me has given so many wonderful ideas. I will leave you with one thought I had. Will you have any other live musicians at the service? If so, you may consider asking the pianist to accompany you. It would take a little bit of pressure off of you and I think you would enjoy playing with another musician. I send this idea with love and many virtual hugs to you and your family.

“I have yet to do an Acoustic Tuesday, I just keep saving them. So I feel now like I am drowning!!!”
Acoustic Tuesday show is mostly entertaining guitar-related stuff with a little education thrown in. I like to play my guitar while I listen to the show and noodle on the warm up, scale, or lick we are learning that week. No need to keep old shows. Just tune in when you have the time.
I felt exactly the same as you once I was done with 30 Days. Lost and overwhelmed. I actually did stop logging in for a bit and that was a mistake! I lost my callouses and had to start over with that. After coming back, I did 30 days over again and vowed to not let that happen again. Hang in there! Its worth it.
