I would like to learn different varieties of songs: pop, classical , rock, blues.  I mostly want to focus on popular songs on the radio now then branch out from that later.

I've always wanted to learn guitar since listening to folk songs my first grade teacher used to sing.   I would eventually like to be able to play popular songs  that I hear on the radio and learn to play by ear but I know I've got a long way to go .
