Super happy for you @Lori.MT . I remember that feeling of freedom and creativity converging and it was rocket fuel for progress.

Hi @Jill_M , when you click on the “Forum” icon in the sidebar it takes you to the Forum page, at the top of the page it says “TAC Family Forums” , In that dark blue rectangular header box there is a search function where you can type “F chord” and see all the posts relating to your search.

nice win there @Terry6422000 . Repetition has worked in my favor and is an integral part of my learning process. Say, just outta curiosity did you find and remark the letters on your typing keys?

Solid plan. I have benefited from similar effort. Looking forward to your analysis.

@dr_dave, Whoa,….been a while since I have seen that. Hard to believe that was 3.5 years ago. The only thing really different is I have found something that lives beyond fun. At the time I was at the beginning of expressing myself tone-versationally but totally jazzed by the notion it could be done. Now my tonic vocabulary has reached a place where I can express some more detailed nuance and connect that to meaning. Each time I have a new “small win” I feel even more curious about what lies ahead which provides me the fuel I need to explore an exercise for 20 hours or so. In that practice I get to the place of what lies ahead and it begins again. Beyond the fun is a deep and profound satisfaction. I get to go now where I want to go on my journey, the doubt has been removed. The satisfaction is not necessarily the result (that would be the small win) but rather knowing without a shadow of doubt, the path I am on is leading me to my desire. I just have to keep on walking (pushing that boulder uphill).

Hi @Smoody , I am going with the quick, easy answer, do it because it is fun and because you can. If you try it and don’t like it, let it go

Besides/and including Jorma there is a who’s who of music OSMness on that album. Sam Bush in particular slays it for me.

@Maydog said: “I think one of my main problems with bar chords is my skinny index finger…needs a little more meat on it so I can get all the strings fretted more easily.”

I am laughing because I have these fat sausage fingers and I think, If they were only a little less fleshy they would make my bar chords so much easier.

Congratulations on 2 Maydog, it has been fun walking on the Road with you. Wishing you many more years of clear pathways. As long as we keep sight of the DoDah Man no moss will grow.

@Maydog said: “and that is to reduce tension.”

So easy to say but it takes a lifetime to do. Seems like everytime I get something under tension management I do something to make it a little more complex and then back to the whole reduction of tension practice. It is magic when you get to that place where you mind and fingers are free.

I could watch Jorma play for a month solid.

Amazing. That is certainly an unusual place for the top to sink. I have seen them sink at the end of the fretboard 14 fret to the sound hole. What kind of guitar was it?

@JoeW said: “I would suggest re-hydrating the guitar by taking 5 or 6 washcloths, soak them, wring them out a little and put them thru the sound hole into the guitar.”

Just wondering if you have done that to one of your guitars and what results you got?
