Sorry, I missed this post first time round. That was one helluva year you just had on top of that bug that’s been going round. I think the fact that the only time you missed was due to circumstances out of your control speaks volumes about how much you love guitar. Once you just want to pick it up, rather than thinking of it as practice or a chore, you are truly in the zone. Happy TACiversary and here’s to even more progress. 🤟😎🎸

That is a stellar skill to have especially if you can get it on all your fingers. This was an eye opener for me when I discovered it in TAC and love using it now. Well done on … I want to say “pulling this one off”. Groan….

I missed this one when you posted it first time round but picked it up from you forum posts. I am still hearing new songs (to me) that are probably well known classics to many in TAC and this is another. Worked really nicely and there were very few stumbles for a song that long. I struggle when I start overthinking what I’m playing and that’s when I fall aprt a bit. And as I don’t read TAB I just have to trust I can memorise the whole thing without a safety net.
I see you use Davinci for editing vid too. Can’t believe it is free software. I use it for all my videos now.

It was great to finally ‘meet’ you too Marty. Can’t say how much I value your input. I really had a blast. Even though I was playing it pretty tongue in cheek, it genuinely was the first time I tried to play a blues on guitar so I was happy with that first attempt.

My trick is to just forget anything other than you and your instrument.

I have played sections of this over and over just to try to get them right 90% of the time. Tommy Emanuel always says break it down, learn just one bar and play it over as many times as it takes then it will become second nature. Let’s hope so. I intend to try it out at my first ever live open mic since joining TAC, tomorrow at the Scones VOM. Wish me luck… 🤞😬🎸
