I loved the way you mixed it up with open and closed positions plus that little run down on the single string alternating open a fretted. Great work.

That is some awesome playing. Really genuinely enjoyed listening to this piece. It is not a song I know either which is always nice to discover new (old?) music. 🤟😎🎸

Well done on climbing back on the 6 string horse! Hope you get a lot out of it. Doing the 30 days again is a really good call too. Reset your fingers! 🤟😎🎸

That is a fabulous tale. I can really picture it in my mind. There is simply no life that is not enriched by music and the connections you make through it. 🤟😎🎸

Now I need a drink! Lot’s to unpack there for someone who generally plays by ear but I will be running through Fretboard Wizard soon and I hope to put this to use.

Awesome! Loving that song and the Bm is a great key to play in. I am not 100% certain but I think that might be the first time I seen one of your posts. Really enjoyed it. 🤟😎🎸

That sounds so beautiful. Great stuff as usual.

Thanks a lot. I have a dear friend and former bandmate I am going to try to pressgang into recording the vocal for me.

Welcome to TAC! I think you are definitely in the right place to take your guitar journey to the next level. I started learning with TAC last Summer and I haven’t looked back. It is a very supportive community and the 30 day challenge is the perfect way to get started. Good luck!

I don’t know if @carnelia found this useful but I did! Thanks for posting. Flatpicking was something I had never tried before TAC so it tends to be the most out of my comfort zone. Now I have a decent route map to try. 🤘😎🎸

Thanks. In a happy guitar place at the moment and this weekend I have some UK TAC members coming over for a weekend of music, food and drink. Doesn’t get better than that.

Yes yes yes! Learning an instrument is like learning a language. Once youunderstand one, it makes it easier to learn the next. I find strumming guitar so much easier because of playing the Irish drum for instance. Not the fretting hand but the timing and picking hand. Everything helps in weird and subtle ways. Your piano journey will be easier for playing guitar.

Will do Mike! Thanks

Thanks Bill. Been working on it over the weekend and have got the lyric right now and some new finger patterns to supplement the chorus. I will need to do an update at some stage.
