Me too! Despite the UK pound languishing in the fiscal gutter it is still great value for money at that member price!

I missed this post first time round so I’m glad I found it now. Really interesting to read about your journey and goals. I sat in on one of the virtual open mics at the tail end of last year after setting myself a 90 day goal to play at one. I was so taken with how friendly it was and that people’s expectations were not that you should do everything perfectly, which is just as well for me. I’d thoroughly recommend it though. Great to meet up with fellow guitarists, swap a few tales and songs and there’s no pressure to play. Anyway you’re nearly 18 months in now so a “better late than never” congrats from me. Darren 🤟😎🎸🎉🎉

Well done on persisting and also just enjoying the playing and singing. It’s nice to know you have taken your own advice! You also seem to be on a roll with your songwriting. Hard to keep up with all the new material. Great job on this one.

Sounding wonderful. You not only have a great sounding guitar but the fingerstyle to go with it. 🤟😎🎸

Wow. After all your comments and encouragement since I joined TAC last year I don’t think I had twigged that I’d never heard you play. This is beautifully played. Thanks for sharing and let’s hear more! 🤟😎🎸

One comet away 🤣🌟. I can’t quite work out how you make something so dark seem so cheerful! Fabulous. I love that little run at the end too. Great job on this one. 🤟😎🎸

That is such an interesting question. I’ll be honest that since joining TAC last year I have made a conscious decision to only write for guitar on guitar. The trouble with piano players is we play lines that piano players would play even when playing a very realistic guitar sample. And there are literally things that cannot be played on guitar that you can play on a keyboard and vica versa. So the short answer is I noodle around on guitar to write my own material and then I know it is within my capabilities. If I get better on guitar I may well start writing chords sequences on keys then write guitar lines that fit the chords but I’m not there yet! 🤘😎🎸

Thanks Marisa. It has been a challenging 8 weeks looking after the dog and still trying to get my practice in. Still played every day but mostly only 10 to 15 mins on my travel guitar. Still have another piece to record when she gets signed off next week and we can return to normal.
