As one of the most “mature” (78) members and one of the newer members my 3 cents worth is do what the other folks have so rightly recommend PLUS do ALL the skills courses. At the end of each session work on a song and play a few DAILY. So endeth todays minisermon. Can I get an amen,

one of the great things about tac is seeing complete rookies, semi rookies and returning dabblers like me giving it a shot. then, sometimes we have real musicians who are branching out like you. its is really great seeing them all. you are one of the shining examples for sure!

I’m from the 60s and before so that makes me a bad boy too. I’m forcing myself to use a pick just so I can “add another tool to my toolbox” (which isn’t very big in the first place).😅

What a great reply! Btw I can Travis pick etc but(!)I don’t have the pat the head rub the belly of playing independent melody with treble strings.
