    Here you go:

    https://tonypolecastro.com/lessons/so-much-more-2/

    https://tonypolecastro.com/lessons/rolling-home-to-you-2/

    https://tonypolecastro.com/lessons/run-around-the-same-old-town-2/

This brings you back to december.

Note however, that the current week offers the same challenges as last time. So the only benefit from looking at december is the possibility to do the challenges before access is granted for this week.

    Cheers

No its not just you. Unfortunately , TAC is very slow. However, once you have a side open you should have no issues watching the videos. So one has to and one can live with that drawback.

    Hi,

I may add that if you don’t see the overview of challenges for the current month then you have to click on the icon with the two arrows at the top bar of the page. This happens if you are on a small screen device, where the side menus are hidden by default.

To go the the next (if already available) or to the previous challenge you can use the two navigation arrows just above the video.

I marked both on the attached screenshot.

If you receive the monday momentum emails, you have also access to last months’ challenges as a linkt to those is provided in the email.

Some of the members, me included, prefer to copy the links to each challenge into a spreadsheet over using the fav-feature. Then you can add more information on the lessons. If you don’t remeber the lessons name, it is hard to find it in your favs once you want to go back. Having the direct links to the lessons allows you to read the comments below the lesson, which are gone when using the version in your favs. Of course you may also bookmark the lessons via your browser and add meta information there.

    Hope this helps

    Hi @shawn-brothers42gmail-com

Just keep going and be patient! You will overcome such issues soon if you practice consistently.

You may try to fix your string muting by going over each finger individually, adjusting its position slightly until you get the strings affected by it to ring out clearly.

One thing that helped me a lot was to keep the nails of my fretting hand as short as possible as this opens a wider range of positions and angles.

Also try to adjust the force with which you press the string down. We, as beginners, often tend to push the string harder than necessary.

Don’t worry too much and don’t get discouraged! We all may strum a thousands songs on such and similar issues that all of a sudden play no further role in our playing, by just practicing and enjoying each single note we produce on that beautiful instrument!

    Cheers

Yes, a play-through at the end of the week would be really nice. Even without a singer, and no need for tabs (if that causes copyright issues). Just a play-along video with all pieces glued together.

I would say it is good practice to do so. So even if you strum only for example 1 and 3, like in https://tonypolecastro.com/lessons/living-or-deceased/ you should do the 2 without hitting the strings. That may help you keep timings accurate.

However, you are free to trust your feeling and just skip that 2 beat. Maybe you tap your food to keep track, or just hint to that 2 beat by making a tiny move of your strumming hand. Whatever works best for you is right.

Nonetheless, I think for beginners it is really a good advice to keep that hand moving even if you do not hit the string.

That is strange. Tried in in Chrome, Firefox and Skim and it shows the same issue. 🤔

Might not help with your specific issue, but in general I find it very helpful to keep my fingernails on my fretting hand as short as possible.

    Hi @camack57live-com ,

some more information might be necessary to really reproduce your issue (e.g. browser, operating system and device).

However, small screens (like on a mobile device) or a two narrow browser window may cause your issue. At least I don’t see the popup icon on my iPhone and I can make it vanish if I reduce the width of my browser window on my PC. If you have a small screen, you can try to collapse the sidebars to increase the video area. If you are on a mobile device, you can try to make it full screen and then in my case the popup video icon is in the top left area of my screen.

You may also try a different web browser.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers Markus

I started about the same time last year, and my impression is that there was a lot more new content since Tony quitted Acoustic Tuesday than before. So I would not agree on a lack of caring on that side.

But I do agree that the website issues could be fixed if there was a priority to do so. Maybe that priority comes up or is already up behind the scenes. We will see.

As of now and as already stated above: one can live with the slowness. I use the time it takes to load the daily challenge to tune my guitar 😎

To be honest, if I had to come up with a criticism to TAC it would be the fact that the play along videos are not recorded at different speeds but rely on the different playback speeds of video player plugins. But that is criticism at a high level

If you have that option, I did have the impression that it sounds better in Safari than it did on my default Firefox browser.

    Hi @lollyt ,

the monday momentum mail should appear on monday morning and it sets you up for the week. Tony started to send these emails approximately last fall when he stopped his Acoustic Tuesday show on YouTube.

If you do not get the mails, but you want to get them, make sure to check your spam folder and if it is not there, check the account information in your user profile. If everything is correct, reach out to TAC support.

Tony explains everything you need to know about the benchmark songs in the videos but @Moose408 already gave you the essence of it.
