@Mike-F as a fellow sausage finger guy I hear you … but we do what we do! One of my friends refers to my hands as “mits”😆

Loved loved loved that ! Great job! and tanks for the link. I might give it a try but it looks pretty hard !😱 Well done

thanks Jack – yes it , it brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face !

Just got a note from a person I dont even know who recently lost their Dad and he said the song described his Dad perfectly and brought a smile to his face during a time of great sadness. Every once in a while I start to wonder why I am going to all this trouble to record and release music and then something like this happens and it gives me new energy to keep going.

well done – like the tempo and dynamic changes. Nice strumming, palm muting and hammers.

@Kitman great job! I love this song. First time I heard it I had a tear or two remembering having literally jumped off my neighbors shed with my Batman cape in 1st grade. And also providing Hospice care for my Dad who had his cape wrapped around his head and a sense of humor until the day he passed.
Funny story – Guy’s side kick Verlon Thompson tells a story of how he fell off a ladder and broke his arms. Guy visited him in the hospital and the first thing he said was “looks like you didn’t trust your cape”.

there are some downsides to the emergence of streaming in the music industry but it sure has a positive effect on reach of audience. I had listeners in India, Peru and Finland last week. who would a thunk…..🤓

@Loraine hmmm reposting reply – first effort did not seem to go through. There was just a little mist of rain but we are used to that in the Northwest ! The tent holds about 30 people and there were another 30 outside. There is a heater in the tent that blows occasionally and it is right by the performers which is a little distracting. I kept my guitar away from the blower and I did have to tune frequently over the 2 hour set but I do that anyway with capo moves and a few songs in drop D. I have heard there is a full recording of the Quarterdeck song and I will try to get a copy of it. I wrote it for Mckenzie who is the woman who purchased the place a few months ago. I think she liked it since she said she wants us to come back. Singing with Natalie is a real treat for me. We were both pretty nervous and it is great to not be all alone up there !

@ Loraine – thanks – I actually used input from the TAC community when producing this song. I was experimenting with the harmonica and got a lot of great feedback from TAC folks about how and when to use it and I incorporated that feedback into the final cut. Learning to use a pick has been a game changer for me! I can play things now that sound so much better using the pick vs just strumming with my thumb – not to mention it hurt sometime if I was trying to play louder !😆

Thanks @stevieblues – We have another gig scheduled for May 24th and are in the process of getting back on the schedule for the Quarterdeck.
-
Thanks Albert ! Yes I wrote that song 4 days before the gig and the crowd really got into it!

Single drops this Friday! I actually played it live on Sunday at a gig and made it through without getting chocked up – a first!😆
