Congratulations on the new guitar man, I have a bunch of electric guitars and I love playing them – not that I don’t play acoustics either, I love them all.

I think it doesn’t matter what you play as long as you’re playing and if it entices you to play even more well then… 🙂

So sorry to hear this happened to you, Great outlook though and keeping things positive! Hope you heal up quickly so you can play normally again.

    Best wishes,

    Tommy~

Truly sorry you’re going through all of this, as so many others mentioned, do try to stick with the daily feeds and just do ‘your’ best. Personally, I have so much fun playing guitar it’s sort of a therapy I guess so I do it a lot longer than 10 minutes but just do whatever you can. in time you’ll really be amazed at how much better you’ve gotten I’m sure.

    Good luck with the surgery,

    Tommy~

Yep, it’s just reverting back to Friday’s lesson here for me too. It’s either last weeks update or Tony went on a bender and forgot to upload Monday’s lesson LOL 🙂

    Hi ya,

I have only two things I can recommend to you and the first one is pretty obvious, just keep pulling your hand off the chord and just keep placing it back there on that C chord position. This will be redundant for you but I’m guessing if you jut do this for like 10 minutes every day you’ll have it down by the end of a week’s time…

Secondly, and this might be a stretch but are you practicing on a guitar with a very large neck profile? Or, just a neck which doesn’t feel comfortable for you? Like a V-neck or a Fatback etc…

This might also be giving you an issue but I’m just guessing and I’m certainly not saying to go buy a new guitar either lol. Just something which is coming to mind here, good luck.

    Hello Loraine,

Very nice! It takes a lot of guts to play in front of folks and then to sing along too is a whole other level! Enjoyed watching, have a great weekend and Mother’s Day 🙂

Well, there’s a plethora of pretty simple answers I can give you on what you can do however your explanation is pretty vague…

You did mention you wanted to play something that sounds like a ‘tune’ though, There’s thousands of pretty simple melodies to songs to get you going. Tony does some songs right here on some of his daily lessons and if you’re looking for something else like a different genre YouTube’s loaded with them.

I totally get that, My singing voice is pretty damn bad so I don’t even bother trying but it’s difficult for sure, kinda like syncopating a rhythm I guess can be a fair analogy. Anyway, you were very good so don’t give that up 🙂
