My Nephew talked me into getting an electric. I’m not a shredder or hard rocker so I chose this Gretch hollowed body electric. Man I’m so glade I did. I’m using a Spark 2 Positive grid amp. I know this is Tony’s Acoustic Challenge but I couldn’t resist posting a video of this guitar.

Looking and sounding good! I have thought about getting something similar but haven’t yet. Enjoy!

Thank you! It’s alot of fun! Really different than a acoustic. Not much effort on the strumming hand, takes a bit to get used to but fun!

Congratulations on the new guitar man, I have a bunch of electric guitars and I love playing them – not that I don’t play acoustics either, I love them all.

I think it doesn’t matter what you play as long as you’re playing and if it entices you to play even more well then… 🙂

Yes Sir Same way I’m trying to look at it. As long as I’m growing might as well sprout out a few new branches! LOL!

Yep, I often do TAC exercises on my Gibson L-4 CES which is also an electric hollow body. I use 9’s on it, so it is easier to play than an acoustic with heavier strings. It’s less stressful on my fingers and hands, but when I have most of my reps in I can switch to the acoustic for the authentic Tony’s Acoustic Challenge tone.

What a beautiful guitar! I have a spark amp also, aren’t they the coolest little amp? Great playing also!

Thank You! Yes the amp is really cool but the learning curve for a non tech old man like me is slow LOL! This will take time. Something to do on weekends when I’m not working and completing the daily challenges.

That is one awesome guitar. Congratulations! A semi hollow us considered a form of acoustic/electric. I’ve posted videos playing on mine. I actually practice a lot on it.
