Another great performance. I am thoroughly enjoying your Neil Young series. What a great idea to do a deep dive into a single musicians song library.

David – What a great performance. The use of finger picking as opposed to strumming is a great idea. Your finger picking pattern gives some of the piano like feel to the song. Great idea, I never would have thought to do it that way. I loved your version of the song. Both your voice and guitar sounded great. Thanks for posting your video.

Erik it sounds fantastic. Such a great John Mayer song.

I enjoyed this at the open mic. I am glad you posted it on the forum. There is something great about combining such an iconic guitar driven song with the ukulele. You have inspired me to try it on my uke. Thanks for posting the video.

Congratulations on adjusting your truss rod. I have not been able to muster up the courage. Both of my guitars are off to the luthier this month. He is expensive but always has my guitars back sounding great. I have just accepted it like getting my HVAC system serviced each year. Again congratulations it is great skill to be able to acquire.

Luke – Welcome to Tony’s Acoustic Challenge (TAC), you have found a great place to continue your guitar journey. I was confused as well when I started a few years ago. Here are some of the resources in TAC that I have found helpful. The daily challenge, new ones posted Monday through Friday, will have a positive impact over time and worth doing. On the home page, you will see a musical notation in the upper left side of the screen. This leads to the skills section of the site, which is good. There you will find 19 courses covering a range of topic;, I found some of these courses to be very helpful. Every month there is an online Guitar Party, next one 4/7/21, 11 am mountain time (link at top of home page), which covers a variety of topics. On Tuesday Tony post a video on YouTube called Acoustic Tuesday that is informational, you might enjoy it. Finally, look for the next time the Fretboard Wizard course is offered. This class focuses on practical guitar theory which will change the way you understand the guitar. This has been the best part of the journey for me so far. I hope this helps. Welcome to TAC!

Bill – Thank you for your post, it was very helpful. I was wondering if the song vault would carry forward.

Congratulations on purchasing such an amazing guitar! I look forward to hearing it an upcoming open mic. It is really difficult to find Furch guitars in my part of the States but my search continues. I am very happy for you – great choice!

It is a AKG P170 condenser microphone which was recommended last week by my Sweetwater sales person. He helped me select the equipment needed to post the video. I can’t say enough about what a great experience I have had shopping with them.
