A wonderful rendition @Guitargeezer-Jack 👏👏👏 I enjoyed your “over the shoulder” and “looking at the camera” nuances – great video Jack, and best of the season to you too🍻

Hi @TMutter , that was some beautiful sound – great pickin, loved the chord progression too. And the message within the lyrics was loud and clear. This sounds like it’s going to be another hit for you!

Awesome @GerryB56 👏👏 I have one answer for you about the quizzes – do it again – if you didn’t get them all correct that time through. And you already know which answer(s) you got wrong – finding a key or note by ear – because those were the most challenging questions. So try it again and when you get to the most challenging questions – make sure you take the time to listen to the recordings – over and over – until you’re sure of the answers (hint: you have only 4 choices), so try each choice and see if you can eliminate some of them and keep in mind the choice you made previously may have been wrong.
Hoping the best of outcomes for you in the week 2 quiz and hold on to your seat while going into week 3🤯 because Tony’s going to lay that subject out like no one else can, giving you the path to see the fretboard like you’ve never seen it before!

Hi @01jcheathgmail-com and welcome to TAC. I hope you enjoy the journey here. IMHO, the lessons within the 30 Days to Play are designed to have things “go at your own pace”. If you have the time and understanding of the material presented, then by all means have at it! And by that I mean do as many lessons as you like in a day – there’s no rule that says you should do only 1 lesson per day. Depending on an individuals prior guitar experience, some can complete the course in a week (if they have the time to spend on it), while others may need 8 weeks. With that being said, at a minimum, you should be able to understand the material presented within the lesson in order to mark it complete and move on to the next one – you don’t have to master it, (as a minimum) just understand it. You can always come back to a lesson at anytime you want.
Best of luck along your journey👍😎🎸

That’s one of the great things about FW @stevieblues , you can always go over the information presented in each lesson as often as you want😱 or need, until it sinks in. Hope you can wright the cars soon and get the locomotive back on the tracks🚂

Hi @the-old-coach , I have 1 tidbit to add, and it’s something that’s covered well in FW1, but not so much in FW2 (at least to my best recollection). This goes along with figuring out the key to a song by ear. Yes, you already know to use the loE string to find the lowest “note” that fits best with the song, but individual notes are neither major or minor, so how can you tell if the song is in a major or minor key? The answer to that was taught in FW1 (at least I remember it best from there) was to use a moveable major and minor scale pattern and play them (once you’ve decided on a key) while listening to the song. For example, let’s say we’ve decided a song is in the key of A (loE string 5th fret), but we’re not sure if it’s A major or A minor. In FW1, you were instructed to play the A major scale while listening to the song to see if the scale notes fit with the tune. If that didn’t quite sound right then you would play the A minor scale to see how those notes fit into the song – anyways, the moveable major and minor scale patterns are the tools used to determine by ear, if a key is major or minor.

Great job with this improv @Kitman 👏👏👏 I like how you went across the strings with the scale and then continued it up the neck along the hiE string – demonstrating a complete understanding of the scale and making it sound great too🤩🎸🤘

That sounded great @Jonathandavid 🤩👏👏 your melody seemed to follow the backing track to a “T”🎸👍👍 Very nicely done😎

That was really cool @Moonhare 😎🎸🤘 Those are great lyrics and I loved the solo addition😱👍👍 Bitter Wine has come together very nicely – the journey continues🤩🎉 Cheers my friend🍻
