Sorry you’re having rotator cuff issues @punder . That seems to be making its rounds amongst a few players. Better to be safe than sorry, and yes a guitar is a guitar in that instance. Glad you’re able to still enjoy some playing. Get better soon!

Great win in perseverance! Try not to get angry and frustrated. Just look at them as challenges (wouldn’t learn if the were all easy) and just start slow and build upon each section and trial. You will continue to get it and it will feel great as you see marked improvement just from repetition. Instead of frustration or anger, try replacing with recognition of advancement and joy in the process. Don’t forget the atta boy, high five, and big pat on the back once you get through a lesson. Keep up the great work!

@OhWowMan Completely agree with the excellent advice from @Moonhare . Best to not let it hold your journey up. Keep working at trying to play the chord, but work on other enjoyable things. Barre chords are the nemesis of just about every beginner, then, BAM, months down the road you’ll realize you can play the chord. You’re doing great.

Good luck @Cadgirl – That’s a big commitment, but you can do it! Just remember that if life happens to interfere in some way, it is okay to deviate from a hardline 2 hours.

@LisaH Congratulations on completing the 30 days to play and moving onto the next 6 chords. I agree with @Carol-3M-Stillhand regarding giving the daily challenges a try for at least a minimum of 10 minutes. Some will be.easier and others more difficult, but we don’t get better without a challenge. As for the Skills courses, look around and see what interests you. I took the Jumpstart courses first, because I didn’t have any experience at guitar prior to joining TAC. I then moved onto other skills courses and I took Fretboard Wizard. Have fun with it, and let us know if you have questions or comments.

@OhWowMan When you first sign up they offer Fretboard Wizard at the initial registration. It is only offered twice a year through TAC, otherwise, because Tony does interact through weekly discussions to answer questions. It is not required to take it during those times if you already own it. Most people that do have Fretboard Wizard go through it several times, because you pick up on different things each time. It’s a good course and you’ll learn a lot. Have fun with it when you do take it.
