Im glad I added.some happiness to your day, and I completely understand your predicament with those around you. I never thought I’d have to deal with so much loss. It hurts.

Beautiful in almost a haunting manner.

Hey Barbara, I think many of us have experienced that. Maybe you need a break. Often times taking a sabbatical is just what is needed. We all hit plateaus, go through periods we do feel we’re going the wrong direction. You sound bored and need something to revive itself. I say take a week or two off and see if that helps. You could try a new song, practice ear training, pick up another instrument to try.

Hey @crabbyblue11 . Picks just take time to get comfortable with. Depending on your play level, newer players typically start with more flexible picks (.46 – .72). Eventually players do go with a harder pick, because they’ve mastered strumming and or they are picking, and a firmer pick works best for that. My suggestion is to buy several variety packs from different manufacturers and try them out. It’s typically a personal choice. I haven’t mastered a thumb pick or finger picks, so I can’t really contact.

Hey Pete, I had recently read this and was surprised. Like many, I thought it was Olde Crowe Medicine Show.
Dylan is a great lyricist and writer but not a great singer, especially the last 20+ years. He mumbles and can’t be understood. I heard he just booked a year long tour as a headliner. I almost choked on my dinner from laughter.

That is probably one of the nicest things anyone has said to me. It means the world to me. Thank you.

I love John Hiatt. I actually had a ticket to see him a year ago. I was going to have to go to a Casino in New Jersey (I’m in the Philly area), but I have a medical condition that makes it dangerous to drive at times. I was having episodes and wasn’t able to safely, so I missed the show. I wrote his agent to find out if he would be touring again, but his agent said not in the upcoming year. I’m hoping to get the opportunity after the year.

Hey Pete. Yes, it gives a better grip on the pick, because picks turn in my fingers and goes sideways, and I do lose the puck at times.

The surgeon said my desire and goal to play again was going to get me back up faster than most. His nurse can’t believe how.quickly he released me to play.
