  1. thank you Tony, Im definitely pumped & motivated. My transition is not as smooth as it should be & my fingers are sore but I’m persevering.. I enjoy the riffs & tabs, they seem to be easier to me than the chords, but I want it all so I’m practicing at least an hour a day. Thanks again

  2. Thanks, Tony. I am glad that this course, and all the other courses, are alway waiting for a return visit. I know that I will return often because each session is like visiting a well known, old friend.

  3. I took a ew weeks off life got in the way , but when got back in some chords I learned where right . Thanks Tony your teaching skills are awesome. I bought a Gibson 1932 Reissue L00 and it sounds so good I can’t wait till I can play it better. ( Im on the right sight for that ) Do you know any easy to learn early blues.

  4. Right on! I’ll revisit this for sure. Are Daily Practices a next good step? Later, I will switch hands and revisit this course to build my ambidextrous skill!

  5. Callus’ are back and things are looking (and sounding) much better! Ready to charge forward into the July Schedule.

  6. Looking forward to hearing, seeing and learning more. My mind is like a sponge now.
    Soaking it up.
    Thanks Tony.

  7. I”ve enjoyed going back to the basic. I have payed Hundreds of dollars for private lessons and i wish i could have meet someone like you. I totally feel that for the first time i’m progressing and that i will be able to play some great guitar soon and maybe join a band. Thanks Tony

  8. Thanks Tony. I’m a beginner and love your exercises and find the TABs pages very helpful. Do you have one for 12 Bar Blues?

    Jose

  9. Truly enjoyed the lesson! At times, I felt you were going a little fast and it’s good to know that I can go back to revisit lessons.
I’m not too great using the pick. Is there a separate course on learning to use the pick?

Thanks again for being a super patient teacher!
    Lisa E.

  10. Hey Tony, thanks for a wonderful, accessible 101 course. It’s just packaged up so well and I had a great time and good reminder about returning… have to keep incrementing toward fluency.

  11. Just like the description says at the beginning of this course, this is great for all skill levels. Even though the information in this course may be known already, I think it’s always good to refresh our memory on the fundamentals of guitar playing. Great course, Tony!

  12. Hey…I’ve been away from TAC for some 18 months and now life settling down and I’m picking up my guitar. A lot has changed at TAC, but from what I can see it’s only gotten better (and it was already pretty darn good).

The foundation was a great way to reintroduce myself to things I learned years ago but that needed some fine-tuning.
    I’m stoked to be back!

    1. David,

Glad you dug these lessons. The backing tracks are downloadable, once you click them just right click or control click over them and you will have the option to save them 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony

  13. What a great course!
I think I need to do it again and do it more fluently.
For me the cords F and G in this way were new but now I feel much better with them.
    Thanks a lot !!!!

  14. Hi guys,
Thanks for this excellent course. Great job at putting it all together. For some strange reason, I don’t know why I don’t like playing with a backing track but in order to complete the course I had to play with the backing track and it made me think what’s the big deal. It was fun actually. Hopefully, I will get that block out of my head. Again, thanks.
    With Smiles,
    Darleen

    1. Darleen,

I am really glad you enjoyed this course!!! Great work throwing caution to the wind and playing along with the backing track!!! Keep after it and always keep having fun 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony

  15. Thanks for putting this course together Tony. Wish I’d had it sooner! I got so much out of it- just hearing you explain how you handle the upstroke when playing rhythm (hit the high strings only) was like the clouds parting. So that’s how you do it..!
Can’t wait to try fingerpicking 101 now. Keep up the good work!

    1. Steve,

So glad you dug this course, and got some great info out of it!!! Thanks for checking it out, I hope you enjoy fingerpicking 101 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony

  16. Tony great lesson, it was a great review on some things and learned some new stuff also. I really like your teaching method from beginner on up. Your lesson are fun to learn and joining tac has made me want to play my guitar every day. So thanks tony its a great ride.

    1. Jim,

      Cheers,
      Tony

  17. Tony, Joel and Levi,
Well done. This is an awesomely well put-together course for beginners. And a super-nice refresh for those who have been playing a while too.
thank you so much for this. Nice job!

    1. Dom,

You are welcome!!! We are happy you enjoyed it and it has certainly spawned the discussion of adding more to this series 🙂 hint hint wink wink it’s gonna be a busy couple of months 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony

  18. Hi Tony, Levi and Joel, thank you for putting this package together. This was so much fun and putting all the bite sized chunks together to play along to the backing tracks was awesome. Excellent presentation. I’m coming away from this with a much better understanding of chords and how to construct riffs.

  19. Tony, Joel & Levi,
Your team is quite good at packaging just enough in lesson sized bites, structuring into logical progressions and presenting through video, narrative and support tab & tracks. Really useful to learn the first time through and, as suggested, a great, well indexed resource for coming back to just what is needed in those inevitable future challenges.
    Thanks so much guys!
    Bob

    1. Bob,

Thank you so much for your kind words!!! We are very thankful you are here at TAC and really appreciate you working through the lessons and sharing your feedback with us!!!

      Cheers,
      Tony

  20. Guys,
That was awesome! The lessons were simple, easy to follow and super effective.
Next step for me is a cup of courage (or whiskey) and post some videos in the forum.

    Keep up the great work!
    Dave

  21. Thanks Tony, Joel and Levi – this lesson track was awesome! I hope to see many more like this. It was like being a squirrel and having the acorns laid out in perfect order so that he can stock up for the winter!
I think this track is perfect for beginners and a great introduction to your teaching style. It was like being in Bozeman for weekly lessons in the comfort of my own chair. Cheers!

    1. Bill,

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your enjoyment of this lesson track. After producing it the three of us have some ideas for some followups for sure 🙂 Great work getting through it!!!

      Cheers,
      Tony
