  • Need your advice, help on What’s next to do.

Ok I need your advice. I started TAC. I finished the 30 day primer, I did the Capo Course, with some issues. At the end of the Primer, there is an additional 6 chord training, which I also did. SO now what? Do I just pick another course, like barre chords or Fret Wizzard and start it? I’m trying to do the daily challenges but some are too much. I’m making headway but almost overwhelmed. What should I do next to make things align? Thanks. Steve

Keep plugging away the best you can on the daily challenges. You will make progress, even when it seems impossible. Give it a good 10 minutes, mark complete, and you can keep playing around with the daily challenge or look into something else that piques your interest. A good place to start might be the Strumming course, or the Jumpstart to fingerpicking or flatpicking. If you have a particular interest, you might want to start with that one. Otherwise, just choose one and have a go at it. There are the newer 5 day challenges. Those might be of some interest.

Welcome to TAC @WyoBoy52 , and you clearly have a desire and work to achieve it.

I have frequently told people that the daily lessons are a doorway to things I never even thought. I don’t love ALL of them. But by doing all of them, I find that I progress more easily doing things that are not in my wheelhouse.

Example, hammer ons and pull offs require effort, and were never something any teacher provided, but the effect that results is so cool it leads me to experiment on other places to use them, which is leading to being more comfortable understanding what sounds make music wit ha guitar, vs. what I use to be adept at producing, NOISE.

Hi @WyoBoy52 , My 2 cents – go with the “Jumpstart” courses next. If you have a thirst for simple – basic music theory and how it relates to the guitar, then try “Foundations of Fretboard Navigation”. And if that leaves you with a deeper thirst, then you have to go for “Fretboard Wizard”🤩

Hey WyoBoy52 just ran across your post and was wondering where in WY you’re at. I’m in Glenrock and looking for someone that is in my skill level to maybe play with at times.
