Marisa – Is Your Love in Vain?
Here is my contribution to Dylan’s birthday series, but it is actually dedicated to David’s birthday. I was not too familiar with Dylan, and I took his series and prompting as an opportunity to explore Bob Dylan’s impressive body of work! I liked this one as soon as I heard it and learned it yesterday. Recorded it this morning before work- as I have a crazy week coming up and won’t have another opportunity. But, it’s rawness is fitting with Dylan’s style.

It is so obvious that you feel each song when you are playing and singing and that makes it so easy to listen to. This was a beautiful rendition of this Dylan song. I’m so glad you are feeling inspiration and enjoying your guitar playing so much and joined in my Dylan challenge. It was great! Thanks for the dedication and birthday wishes BTW.

You can do this after 9 months??? You must be a musical genius then! I do see a piano in the background, do you have a lot of experience with other instruments?

I play the piano and played the violin through HS. And now, I am singing again for the first time in 20 years! I had a few guitar chords in HS as well. 😀 I would say, I am a musical person.
