Milestone – Fifty Consecutive Complete Months!
Even though I just passed my fourth TACiversay 11 days ago, today I am celebrating 50 consecutive months of completing all the TAC lessons in a given month. When I joined in late June 2017, TAC gave us the ability to access the prior month’s lessons, so in the 10 days I had before the end of June, I completed all the June 2017 and al, the May 2017 lessons. I have not missed the chance to complete a daily lesson since. Sometimes I’ve had to batch several if I fell behind for a few days (travel, life events etc.), but in each case, I got them done by the end of the month – in time to get my avatar on that dartboard of Tony’s for the monthly guitar giveaway they had until recently. Although I never won that, at least I was up there and “in the hunt,” rooting to take a dart in the eye.
So far, I’ve always been fortunate enough to be around my guitar at the end of a month to make sure I got done “on time.” But now with the “new TAC” rolled out in late March, this takes on even more urgency. As I understand it, today’s KC Mixed Chords (and the last Friday of every month) lesson will be available only for three days: today, tomorrow and Sunday. After that, I expect you lose your chance to log a complete month, even if you save it as a favorite, because the lesson get pulled down when the new month’s lessons start on Monday. I sure wish they’d re-consider this change in coding that makes the last few lessons of each month available for only a few days.
