This Land is Your Land
I always thought of this as a truly American song growing up as a kid…but I found out later not everybody thought of Woody Guthrie as a patriot…but I sure do.
I vowed to make 3 recordings for my 90 day goal…here’s the 3rd….procrastinator that I am!

We used to sing this song in kindergarten.
I had no idea it was a real song until recently. Or the song you are my sunshine. Along the same lines I had no idea half the Hank Williams songs were real songs (eg,hey good looking wutcha got cooking?)because the first time I heard them were in bugs bunny cartoons and he sings them about as ridiculous as bugs bunny doesl

Appreciate that…I have been playing just for myself….and making these recordings makes me realize how hard it is….Enjoy your membership…I am coming up on a year and I have been motivated to play every day.

3rd great recording, @Brian2501 , and it is clear you are working hard on it and it paid off in spades.
Woody Guthrie is and enigma wrapped in a conundrum wound up with guitar strings. His music runs the gamut from Anti-Fascist to Childrens, to Anti-War to recovering old time folk tunes.
And this one, written to protest the popularity of “America the Beautiful” is a fine example. And your rendition is a great example of his fine example. Well done.
