D key
I was able to tune my guitar to ‘Open D’ today!!!! I put the speed on .75 and was able to really hear the sound of each string after loosening the strings to get the different tones. Really beautiful!!!
The past week I couldn’t play the songs since I never could get open D, but thanks to you all helping w/ you responses and slowing down the video speed, I got it!!!!! Thanks!!!

Yes, when Tony says things like, “with the other D” I’m like OK to me there’s only 1 D but in my head I know there’s another for Open D but I just ignore my lack of knowledge and understanding. LOL

Well done and welcome to a new guitar world! I do love alternate tunings. You can get some really interesting sounds. The only problem is it takes time to tune it so if you are doing normal practice too it helps to have a second guitar set up in standard tuning. An excuse for a purchase? 🤔No… I don’t think I’ll get away with it. 🤟😎🎸

Open D tuning is like going down a guitar rabbit hole. Sometime hard to get out of. Sounds like you had fun @campfire 😊😊😊😎
