Hi all, just wondering if someone can tell me why the pdf sheets of the daily lessons don’t always print properly? i really try to have the current lesson pdf in front for a visual.

I have never tried to print the tabs since moving to this new platform. I just went to this past Friday’s lesson and opened the tab and hit print to see what it would do in the “print preview”. It cut off the whole right side of the tab. I tried to scale it down, but it wasn’t getting there very quickly, so my printer software allows me to do a custom “fit to printable area”. When I did that I got a much smaller scale,
I also have an option for “custom”, where I can scale the file down by one percentage point at a time. The “fit to printable area” looked like it was about 62% of the original, “default” resolution. My guess is the resolution that worked on the other platform doesn’t work here, or the resolution has been changed by the platform migration. Whatever, it looks like you’ll have to scale the tab down to print it correctly. At least, that’s what I saw on my system.

Thanks Mike, it only happens on some of the pdf’s. Frustrating though because I use them when I think I’ve missed something or I am not quite ‘getting’ what Tony’s showing in the video. I have tried adjusting the print settings but my printer is pretty basic. I try to be really diligent since we can’t go back to previous months.

Well, we can go back to any lesson we want if you “favorite” it. And you can look at the tab on your computer screen. But I know some people prefer to print them out. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you more.

Thanks Mike, I had tested finding a tab awhile after this new program started. Nothing came up at all. I will try again.
Another question; How do I get into the Tuesday morning Guitar Party? I tried a couple of weeks ago but it never booted past Tony’s face.

Hi @Sheryl14 I think Tony pre-records Acoustic Tuesday now (not live). Once posted, you can view it by clicking the Acoustic Tuesday link in the menu.

Yeah, you must mean the Acoustic Tuesday show? @Loraine already mentioned that the show is recorded and is not done live anymore. When I click on the Acoustic Tuesday link in the left toward the top, second from the bottom, I get a list of the most recent taped shows. If you are not getting that you should contact support so they can help you figure out what is wrong. But in the meantime, you can just go to acousticlife.tv in your browser. I prefer that link anyway.
I like to check back on threads I have read and commented on because I like to hear the “end” of the story. Silly me, my caring is showing. 😊

When your dialogue Box opens for your printer, see if you have an option for “fill full page” or something like that, depending what brand of printer you have. Works for me…

I had trouble printing the PDF’s from Safari. Started using Firefox and all good now.
I just bookmark TAC on Firefox and use Safari for non guitar related things.

Have you tried printing in landscape instead of portrait orientation?

Sorry to be so long in replying Mike. Just lost focus for a few months! Not printing practice sheets out anymore….too many! Just saving them in my Acoustic Challenge folder. I haven’t been accessing TAC much as I got pretty frustrated.
Going to try to access more often. I miss the support!

@Sheryl14 ,When something doesn’t print correctly for me, it drives me up a wall. My printer isn’t right on top of me, it’s in another room. I have had this happen to a few times. So now, I save mine to my computer (same as you). But, if it’s something I want to use for practice later in the day, when I don’t have the computer on. I take a picture of it with my IPhone. Then I have it. I hope this is an idea that helps.
