How to get access to Fretboard Course
I need help on how to access the Fretboard Wizard course. When I “click” on the course in the Skill Course it says I do not have access. Happy to pay for the course but I just can’t find how to do it. Thanks You! Tom

Hi @Tom000-18 & @djcochrane , Fretboard Wizard registration typically opens up twice a year in the Spring & Fall. You can contact support for more information.

Hi @Loraine — I’m new here and still learning my way around the website. Fretboard Wizard was offered when I initially joined TAC, and I purchased it, but I haven’t gotten into it yet. Did I just happen to time it right? I’m curious, why it would be only offered twice a year? Does Tony interact live online with his students? I recently finished my “30 Days” course and now I’m playing through the “Next 6 Chords” course. I was thinking I should gather a little more playing experience, before I mouse over and click on “Fretboard Wizard.” 🐭🤔

@OhWowMan When you first sign up they offer Fretboard Wizard at the initial registration. It is only offered twice a year through TAC, otherwise, because Tony does interact through weekly discussions to answer questions. It is not required to take it during those times if you already own it. Most people that do have Fretboard Wizard go through it several times, because you pick up on different things each time. It’s a good course and you’ll learn a lot. Have fun with it when you do take it.

@Tom000-18 If you have purchased the Fretboard Wizard course, you should be able to access the course at any time, as often as you like. If you can’t access the course I would send an SOS to Tony P and/or Levi in Member Support.
I know that Tony does a “Live” Fretboard Wizard twice a year, where the whole group of students has access to a live chat every week for the 6? weeks to ask live questions and go over the material, but the actual lectures and study materials/quizzes are always accessable to each student at any time.

I got ahold of TAC support and asked what we could tell you and others regarding the FW course.
It was open for a while this fall. It will be open again in the first part of 2022 though there is no date set. They will put a banner up on the site and they will announce it in the newsletter.

Dang– I’m sorry I missed it. We were on a road trip latter part of Sept into Oct- but I had my guitar along and checked into TAC almost every single day- maybe missed 3 days in the 28 we were gone).
Can’t figure how that got past me!
Oh, well, I’ll keep my eyes open for it again.

I was a comment that FW was open and there was a small link at the bottom of the support page. I went over there and saw it. I wouldn’t have ever seen it if I hadn’t read someone’s comment. But I have been told they will make it easier to see next time. They are going to put a banner across the top of the TAC pages and put it in the Acoustic Life newsletter. So it should be pretty easy to catch next time.

I too was waiting with anticipation for it to open up, and to hear that they did such a spectacularly bad job of letting us know it was available is fairly frustrating. I would have happily paid for it had it been announced, but now that the crowdsourced option is starting up in January, I’ll give that a try instead.
