Fretboard Wizard F3 Quiz, Question 9
Hi Everyone,
For those experience with the Fretboard Wizard course, I have a question about F3 Quiz, Question 9 which is:
“If you were to make a chord matrix for the key of G major, what would the 2nd and 3rd rows of the matrix look like?”
G major scale looks like this:
G A B C D E F (G) – as listed on the matrix to the corresponding lesson to the quiz (but I think F should be F#)
The second and third rows of the chord matrix of G Major are based off of the 3rd and 5th notes, B and D respectively.
Therefore the 2nd and the 3rd rows I believe should look like this:
B – C# – D# – E – F# – G# – A# – B
D – E – F# – G – A – B – C# – D
However, the answers to the quiz question do not include these options:
Answer 1: (Row 2: B, C, D, E, F#, G, A, B) (Row 3: D, E, F#, G, A, B, C, D)
Answer 2: (Row 2: A, B, C, D, E, F#, G, A) (Row 3: B, C, D, E, F#, G, A, B)
Answer 3: (Row 2: D, E, F#, G, A, B, C, D) (Row 3: F#, G, A, B, C, D, E, F#)
Answer 4: (Row 2: B, C, D, E, F, G, A, B) (Row 3: D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D)
Can someone tell me what the correct answer is and where I’m off on my logic?
Thank you!
