    In May of 2020, I was fooling around trying to write my own piece of music for the first time. I played and recorded 3 tracks on my acoustic guitar, and mixed them in Audacity. It was a chord progression on one track, some lead notes on another, and some bass notes played on the low strings of the guitar on the third. I did add a little bit of effects on the bass notes if I remember right. I used it as a backing track for a slide show of pics of two of our great grand-kids. In looking at this again, it made me realize how even with some simple playing, and limited knowledge of how to put a piece of music together, you can create music. This isn’t great, but surprised me what I did back then. It took me a few seconds to recognize the background music was what I had done. I know you usually want to see someone play the music on here, but I did play the parts; and besides; my greats are cute. 😀

    Such a beautiful slide show. The music came across really well and I love the almost mandolin like little fills just after the scooter video. So I guess it begs the question if you were to redo it now what would you come up with? 🤔

    @stevieblues Thank you! Thanks for listening and watching.

    @KevinZ Thanks much, very kind!
    @Moonhare Thank you! Not sure. 😀
    I have been messing around with 7 chord shapes, but with a capo on the 3rd fret. I really like the sound of the progression, but am trying to build on finger picking the 7 chord shapes. Of course that changes the chords. The root note of C on the first chord becomes a D#. I am weak on music theory, and the notes in the chord now don’t seem to fit completely D# major or minor (a hybrid?). I just know the notes of that chord, and the progression work well together. This is where collaboration would be nice.
    @Marisa Thank you! It is indeed a great enhancement.
    @Bill_Brown Thank you for your encouraging and gracious words! We have partially raised these two; and they still are over here a lot. It is a joy; but they are getting harder to keep up with. 😂

    Fantastic piece @Philb , and the photos made it so special. At the end, you wrote So far … which could also be a metaphor to the grandkids growing up over time, and that’s my vote for the title of the song. 😉
