A couple of wins this week!
Win #1: I had surgery for a retinal detachment on Wednesday (still a win since the detachment was small and I am expected to regain full vision) and managed to play a few minutes each day, even on the days where I had to keep my head pointed down all the time. I didn’t play well, but I played. 🙂
Win #2: Played at the Saturday virtual open mic last night. I hadn’t played in one of the VOM’s yet. I was listening in, but then on the spur of the moment decided to play something. I didn’t play very well (I was confused because I couldn’t hear myself in the headphones – a technical problem that I was able to work through this morning), but I did play and sing for others and that felt good! This was one of my quarterly TAC goals, so I’m happy to have done it and I look forward to doing a little better next time. 🙂

Glad to hear your surgery to fix the detached retinal went well @ted_h . That’s a scary thing to go through.
I thought you did extremely well at the SNL VOM too. It was great to hear you play and to meet you. Can’t wait to hear you play more & to eventually see the guitar you’re building for your wife.
