It is getting close to my favorite day, and this song recounts it
It is Day 13 in my 100 Day Challenge. As I was able to attend the FNL “Story Telling” tonight, I played Alan Jackson’s “Remember When”.
As I stated (not on the recording) there is a lot in this song that is not us, but I love it as it is the closest song I have found to record my life and the love I feel for my wife.
Thank you Carol for hosting, and for all who listened and commented and supported. It was a great, no fabulous, night of music.

It is indeed a great, moving song and I would also like to play it. Is there any strum pattern that you find easier and fits with the lyrics?

Well, it’s a good question, and to be honest, I listened to Alan Jackson playing it to try to get the rhythm.
Try D U D D U D, pretty much through, and when you feel a difference in what Jackson does, to me it is filling in the 1/8 notes, so DUDUDUDU. But this is a weakness in my play, so you asking has strengthened my thinking to figure out what exactly I am doing.
