  • New guitar day!

So I was at my uncle’s house today helping him move and I noticed an acoustic guitar all wrapped in bubble wrap. I said who plays guitar. He said oh that was your grand mother’s, take it with you. It’s a Yamaha classical nylon string guitar built in 1978. Seems to have almost never been played. I’ll pick up some new strings for it tomorrow and see what it has to say. My grandmother passed away about 30 years ago from cancer. I was very young and have no memories of her, except for family home movies. I didn’t even know she played a guitar! I’m excited to start playing it and having that connection with her.

Oh my, Jackson, that looks like a beauty. I’ll bet that sounds wonderful once you get the new strings on. The top looks like it is “torrefied” naturally. That’s the best way. Have fun and share a video with us.
