  • Comes Around (KA Original)

Hi all, this song is one I’ve been noodling on since finishing the Fretboard Wizard course some weeks back. For the final project in the FW course, Tony helps the student write a song using the the tools and teachings from the course. I selected a chord progression that was oriented towards Bluegrass as being able to play that genre of music is one of my goals. Although he end product was indeed a song, it really didn’t do much for me on an emotional level.

I kept noodling on the chord progression and changing it here and there over the weeks. I finally landed on something that made that emotional connection. I really enjoy playing this and will continue to work it. Also, it doesn’t sound much like Bluegrass! 😆 Also, I am a bit nervous calling this an “original”- it is to me however there may well be something out there like it. In any case, here it is!. 😎

Your input and feedback would be very welcome!

That was excellent! You put together a really nice sound. Well done!
Now, a question. How did I miss Fretboard Wizard? I have been waiting for it to be offered again. I couldn’t take it when I first started TAC, but could now.
Have a most excllent 4th of July!

Thanks very much for your feedback and encouragement @Bill_Brown and @Philb , I really appreciate it. Hope you and yours had a great Independence Day with your family and friends! 😃

@philb , when I joined TAC in late April, The Fretboard Wizard was and add on (ie. for additional cost) that was offered. IMO, the FW course was very good and I learned quite a bit. I still go back and refer to the information and tools from the course. I have noticed in the threads some discussion that the FW course was being revamped and that people are asking when the revamped version will be ready. No word on that yet.

Lovely song, Kidman! Smooth fingerprinting and mellow chord progressions. Puts one in a good mood. Very musical!

Really nicely done! Your transitions between open and barre chords is inspiring as is your fingerpicking.
