  • Make You Feel My Love

Posted by Marisa on December 7, 2022 at 3:48 pm

Hey guys. I haven’t posted in a while. Been consumed with learning songs for my now monthly gigs. Have learned a lot- like, hold onto those bars, lay off if you missed it a bit, and keep going at all costs. I am having so much fun. I channeled my inner piano player for this one. I like doing songs that resonate with me regardless of what instrument they were written for 😂 And, you can see my Christmas present in the background!!! Santa said I played myself up to a new Taylor, but I can’t gig with it until xmas. But, my Yamaha is a work-horse and I love it so much. Deciding whether to renew my TAC subscription… Not using it as much, but do like to check-in.

    Hope you enjoy. Cheers!

Wow. I have to say I am very envious of the way you slip from open chords to barres so effortlessly. That was a really smooth and wonderful rendition. What’s the tobacco burst guitar on the stand? 🤟😎🎸

Well done @Marisa ! Such confidence you have. This tune is gig ready for sure. My number one guitar (of two acoustics) is a Taylor 414 ce-R. Had it for over a year. You you find the more you play it the better it gets. I truly believe the music absorbs into wood over time. Letting an experienced luthier set a new guitar to your style and liking is worth the cost.

I’m hoping Santa will delivered a new guitar my way if I haven’t been too naughty. Exploring “burst” finish mahogany body guitars but the ones I like are high dollar. Want one that sounds noticeably different than my two Taylor’s.

You will be missed if you decide to drop TAC. Maybe we can catch your performances via YouTube?

Regardless, thank you for bringing us along on your initial guitar journey. Wishing you even more success and joy in 2023. 🥳

I think I’m gonna stay. I need to hit the daily lessons again, and get through FW… I think, learning all these gig songs has slowed me down in some regard. But, I have about 2 hrs of gig-ready songs! I have a bass player that gives me that fat bottom, and makes me sound better, for sure. 😆 1 hour of playing out is enough for me, though… Thanks for all of your thoughtful and kind words.

Consider the lifetime TAC option. Check with Victoria of the TAC staff about getting a credit discount. They credited my yearly fee to offset the cost of the life membership. I like it as I am in no hurry to learn or relearn the wealth of lessons Tony has on the website.

Good for you having a bassist! The Marisa D Band??

I’ve had mine since October of 2021 and love it. It’s so bright sounding. A pleasure to play.

Thanks for posting again. Enjoyed the tune and seeing where you are in your process. One of my 90 day goals is to post more videos. I’m trying to get an amplified set up that makes doing so not such a one off “project”. Happy you have considered staying with TAC. The lifetime membership is best for long timers and the lessons don’t get old.
