    Good Morning All,

This discussion is really a plea to Tony but i would like to hear what everyone else thinks too. 2023 has been an incredible year at TAC. Tony has created more new lessons in quick succession than ever before. The lessons this year, and especially in the last couple of months have been outstanding. I am looking at next Monday with trepidation because all these wonderful June lessons and discussions will disappear from the site. Yes i know we can favorite the lessons and get back to them, but not with the same structure and organization, and discussions attached. I am wondering if TAC could preserve the one previous month so that say, next week we would be able to get back to the June lessons, and when August rolls around, we could get back to the July lessons. In the old days of TAC we used to be able to do that, and i am wishing we could do it again. What do you think Tony, and what does the TAC family think? Thanks all for reading this long winded request!

I certainly see the merit in what you’re asking @peter_m . I agree that some of the conversations within the lessons can be gems filled with ideas and information. So it would be nice that when we favorite a lesson, the conversations could be included – particularly the new lessons. But I think that Tony might say server space was one of the main reasons that TAC had to be overhauled back in March of 2021. And with that being the case, to save the lesson conversations would be contrary to that end. But I do like the idea Peter, just saving the previous month of lessons while the current month is in play, then dumping it when a new month starts. I wonder how much server space would be tied up by doing that? Or, could a separate site be created – like what Tony did with the “Song Vault”?

Thanks @Bill_Brown, Like you i had always assumed that many of the changes between old TAC and new TAC had to do with reducing the file server size that TAC took up, and i totally understand that. it’s just that there have been so many wonderful new lessons lately, but also so many thoughts and knowledge put online by TAC members that it is a shame to lose it all at the end of the month. You and @William_S have shared a whole lot with all of us lately and it would be great if it could remain accessible for a little while after month end. Maybe even just a week. I’m not really expecting it to happen but i just wanted to put the idea out there. I appreciate your responding!

I’d like to throw in my two-cents.

    I WOULD LOVE IT.

I personally save the lessons by printing them out and keeping them in a big 3-ring binder, so that I can go back and play them. Without needing a computer– I can just go outside or whatever and just crack open the binder and start playin’ away.

As mentioned already, many times some of the most important advice/hint/tips/help/etc—- is in the COMMENTS.

I really hope this gains some traction, and they save them for just ONE MONTH.

      Thanks for your input @the-old-coach,

i too save the tab of each lesson, but not on paper. i print a pdf each day and save them on my computer. I think i have every lesson i have taken from Tony since October of 2024 saved. I do still value the input of all the TAC family. it would be especially nice this month to be able to peruse TAC members 90-day plans for the next week or two. I’m sure there will be new lessons in July that are equally inspiring to the ones Tony created for June. As Loraine says, i should keep looking forward to new progress.

I really wish we could go back in time and have the previous month still made available, but there are 2 simple reasons why that won’t happen. 1. Server and bandwidth, and 2. TAC wants us to keep moving forward and not spend so much time on past lessons.

If you’re able to convince TAC to allow access for the previous month, I would support that.

Thanks for your input Loraine! I do agree, moving forward instead of looking back is critical to our progress. i guess i am just sensitive about it this month because i was traveling this week and did not get to spend my usual hour a day on TAC. I look forward to the July lessons too.

Another option might be to save the lessons as a PDF on your computer, by doing that, you can have a ready supply of classes or print them. Just a few different options.

      Thanks @HowardM,

Yes, i do save pdf’s of each lesson, and favorite the lessons each day as well, so I can always go back. Because i was away last week without a guitar, it really hit me that the last weeks lessons were going away. i spent a good bit of time going over them over the weekend, so i am less worried now and ready to move into the July lessons.
