After discovering Dar Williams, quite by accident, with my previous post, The Beauty of the Rain, her whole incredible songbook has opened up to me. She is some talented singer-songwriter. ✌🏼

Absolutely fabulous. I loved it. Reminiscent of the great singer/songwriters Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Carly Simon, Joan Armatrading. Suzanne Vega I could go on. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

@Marisa what a gem you blessed us with. Not many people are able to perform a song like this. Wonderfully consistent finger picking with the vocal style of your own. As mentioned above, there is a resemblance to the work of other female artists such as Janis Ian as well as, I add, Jewel (fortunate to have attended both their concerts). I believe you have found your musical niche.

Perhaps you might consider the Grammy winning song “At Seventeen” by Ian. A great song later covered by Celine Dion.

  Thank you for your very kind and thoughtful remarks. One of my greatest joys has been moving from playing songs that I can play to playing songs that I want to play! I have already put ‘At Seventeen’ into my on-deck pile, which means, music is printed and it is on my playlist…What a beautiful song, indeed! ✌🏼💕👍🏼
