It’s my third TACIVERSARY and I have really enjoyed this week’s challenges with the double stops. But it reminded me of an old video I did just after my first TACiversary so I thought as a celebration of 3 years I would repost (I didn’t actually know what double stops were at the time!). Some of the old hands here will already have seen this video so apologies for the repeat but I hope it might inspire some newer members to remember that we can take the lessons Tony teaches us and apply them to our own compositions. Have fun everyone!

That was awesome! It sounded so good; and the way you synced it with the video was excellent. The fact that you did this after your one year Taciversary blows me away.

I had completely forgotten about this piece so I’ve relearned it for a future open mic. What I like though is that I can now hear how out of time it is as I try to get the fingering right. I can now play it with ease whereas at the time I was pushing right to the edge of my abilities.

        Congratulations on your 3rd TACiversary!

I think I remember this Darryn. I too was amazed with your playing ability early on, and your artistry. I think your background with the keyboards may contribute to your advancement so quickly, as well as a lifetime of working with musicians. But I personally think the biggest influence is simply that you have an innate creativity.

This is so inspiring that you could do this after a year of playing. Thanks for posting this. I now have a new goal!

Thanks a lot. I was pushing it to play this piece at the time but nice to know I find it quite easy now!
