@MarcheM , I relate strongly to your story especially when you said, “But I didn’t just want someone to tell me where to put my fingers, I wanted to know why.” That moment when I reached the same conclusion was a turning point in my journey. The other thing that caught my eye was when you said,… “I understand the guitar fretboard. Now I know why my noodling sounds good. It’s called triads.” My coming around to this idea and even more basic than the triads themselves it the power of thirds and their relationship to each other. Love your story!!!
