Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. TAC courses are foundational and teach us practice goals of a minimum of 10 minutes per day and your skills will improve. You’ll be able to take your skills outside of TAC and apply them to songs, etc. There are so many great YouTube lessons and sites, such as Justinguitar.com where you can learn songs. Also, if you want to play a song, take the Flatpicking Jumpstart. Fretboard Wizard is a great tool and teaches fundamental theory and helps really open up the fretboard to allow you to go even further. You’re on the right path. Take your yearly goals and break them up into smaller chunks over a 90 day period that will help you reach your goals. This will help you keep your focus on the end result without muddying the waters.
