30 Days to Play play along speed
Posted by Steve-Hoh on January 23, 2023 at 7:14 pmNoob question. In the 30 days to play videos, Tony talks about playing through the lesson slowly at first, then progressively getting faster. When I play the videos, its always the same slow speed. Am i missing something, or is adjusting the plyback speed of the video using the gear icon the only way to get these lessons at a quicker speed?

Hi Steve-Hoh. I’m new to this too since Dec. 2022, but to answer your question, next to the gear icon is 1x. If you click on that it brings up a menu of different speeds. Choose your playback speed from the options there and the video will loop at that new speed. Have fun!

Hi @Steve-Hoh and @old_salt , welcome to TAC. To understand a little better about why Tony refers to the “3 video speeds”, you should know a little history of the site. When I started TAC (12/2020), all of the courses and Daily lessons had 3 separate “play” videos to practice each lesson at slow, medium & fast speeds. In late March of 2021, TAC revamped their website. One of the reasons for the overhaul was a need to conserve server space – as a result of that undertaking, one of the changes was the removal of the medium & fast speed “play” videos. In place of those videos was the addition of the speed control on the original “slow play” video.
Just thought you guys would like to know👍

Thanks @HowardM , what you don’t realize is how badly I wanted to talk about all the things that (I felt) were good about the old version, that we no longer have. But I didn’t want to cast TAC in a bad light to the new members, so I stayed on point about the 3 videos.

Thanks for the explanation @Bill_Brown . It really helps explain some of differences between how the videos are presented. Appreciate you my friend!
