Celebrating 5 years a TAC member. Hard to believe. Pleased with my progress but hoping and wishing for more. While I have been unfaithful and started a more intermediate online program, I keep them both and look forward to daily TAC challenges. Something about biting off a daily nugget keeps you coming back. The other program is self guided so I tend to meander. Thank you Tony for your quality product. Retirement is not so far off for me so I look forward to total immersion and finally taking on “Little Martha”.

    Cheers to all.

Congratulations. As you know by now there is no destination only progress on our guitar journey. And personal enjoyment and fulfillment. I retired a little while ago and TAC and the musical journey really has become a great and fun component of retirement for me and mine.

@drbrow Congratulations on your 5 year TACiversary! I’m a lifetime member too, and I still come back nearly every day. This is where I learned all the basics and foundational skills. I think moving onto a more intermediate program is warranted, and it is encouraged as you grow in your abilities, and use your foundational skills here and to add to them as one challenges their growth and playing elsewhere.

Thank you for your reply Loraine. I am curious about your lifetime membership status. I surfed the site a bit for information about it but don’t see any. Can you give me a hint on where that might be?

Hi @drbrow I purchased it probably 4-5 years ago under the old TAC format. I’m not sure if they still have the option. But I suggest contacting Victoria in Support. Use the button at the bottom left. A chat will open up. Tell her you heard others speak of the lifetime membership and ask if it’s still available. It has more than paid for itself.

Yes the lifetime option is still available, I just purchased it last month. My annual fee was immediately refunded so it’s as if I had purchased lifetime on day 1.

Congrats @drbrow. I am right there with you and will hit the 5 year mark on 20 May. I also became a TAC lifer after year 1 and agree with Lorraine’s suggestion.

Like you, I also signed on with another instruction site that is kind of Blues oriented and very good, but still beyond my current ability and I can’t keep up with it – so to avoid frustration, I don’t try to keep up, but rather focus on those lessons that appeal to me.

Like you, I still log onto TAC everyday and try and hit the exercise. I still get frustrated with my limitations, but just keep at. See slow improvements, but man it takes time. Without TAC I don’t think I would really be anywhere.

    Enjoy

Congrats to 5 years! I think many dabble in other types lessons, there’s no harm in it. I’m on YouTube all the time and learned a thing or 2 but TAC is my staple, the daily bread!
