    725. –

    December 74, Highway 16
Walking home from school, only 14
Taking a ride, in a couple confide
Found near Terrace, strangled and tied

Eight days pass, in Feb 06
Tabor Mountain, found in a ditch
After the mall, she’d stayed with a friend
Took a lift home, found condemned

If I knew I’d never, see you again
I would of held you tighter
    I would have said
If I knew I’d never, see you again
    But I thought we had,
    Forever

725 where they paid the cost
Where they didn’t arrive, where they were lost
    725 where families despair
They didn’t survive, we didn’t care
    725

    725, a triple delete
    Their ignorance and deceit

August 18, on the Highway of Tears
    Another young life, disappears
Another victim, to show the shame
    Shadows taken, another claimed

If I knew I’d never, see you again
I would of held you tighter
    I would have said
If I knew I’d never, see you again
    But I thought we had,
    Forever

725 where they paid the cost
Where they didn’t arrive, where they were lost
    725 where families despair
They didn’t survive, we didn’t care
    725

    725, a red dress flies
    Another indigenous families cries
    725

    725, a red dress flies
    another girl missing, another dies

That’s a great but sad song! I’ve never heard of 725 before.

You must have watched Alaska Daily before composing. Played along in Dm pentatonic.

I’d only recently found out about the issue on this side of the Pond… 😕

Well done! Thanks! I have a friend here in Arizona who is part Ottawa, and works on different reservation areas here at times. She often has talked about the many missing indigenous women both there and here in AZ.

I did a bit of background research on the missing/murdered women, it’s a real sad state of affairs in both the US and Canada… 🙁

      Thank you Phil… 🙏

Very haunting @Fletch . Such a sad state – I had seen something about this a while back. Scary and terribly sad. Nicely written and performed. Maybe it will bring awareness to others.
