Just this morning I told myself I’ve got enough guitars I need to chill. I’ve been playing 2 months and have 3 acoustic and 1 electric. Not even 3 hours later a Yamaha jr1 I was following on marketplace dropped to $60. I said how can I NOT buy a $160 guitar that’s been played a few times and includes a nice padded bag for 60 bucks? So now I have 4 acoustics. Wanted to share with my people that understand. My wife just shakes her head, she rode with me to get but she doesn’t understand.

Guitars are platforms that have different functions just like kitchen utensils have different functions. There are various pots and pans in the kitchen with unique properties. You might be able to make one pot or pan do all the cooking but it isn’t optimal. Electric is certainly different than acoustic. And acoustics might be around in different tunings for convenience or one might have steel strings and another nylon. It’s a luxury like having more than one pan or pot to bake or boil or fry. Or at least that’s the way I heard it.

This is a great way to look at it and to justify all these guitars. 😀

Oh yeah! I so identify with this feeling. Hmm, maybe 6 guitars is enough for awhile? But wait a minute, just saw a great deal on a (fill in the blank) and I don’t have one of those yet! And, you know, I kind of would like to try a ukelele………😆

Talk about addicted, I’ve been a TAC member right at about a year, I’ve sold my Harley and bought two Martin’s, a Larrivée and a Gibson. Somewhere in the vicinity of 9K+, so I don’t think you’ll hear any wining from any of us LMAO…….Rock On, enjoy em!

@Alteredgoods ,The nice thing about buying an inexpensive guitar is they still have a lot of value when it comes to trade-in value at some guitar stores. I shop at Guitar Center. With a trade-in they will give you 15% off a new guitar. soooo….. say you find a nice little GSMini for $1000, using that $60 guitar just became $150 off on a new guitar, plus they will give you something for the trade-in itself. I guess you could say you are actually saving money for the future when by buying that $60 guitar.

Wait til you start adding zeros to the price, then see how she reacts :-). Remember, there could be worse addictions.
