    <div>

    First time in Benchmark, though I have posted videos on the Play For Us Forum. I have been through this lesson 2-3 times. I was afraid to post my attempts. I have a real problem with finger inflexibility with old hands, 72, on a couple of chords; and arthritis (which I know I am not the only one from what I see on here). My solution; just keep playing, adapt, improvise. What the heck. I have a lack of precision and clarity on a couple of chords; and I was playing from memory and lost my place at one point (which is obvious). So, I just improvised and played on. LOL Accepting where I am at with my limits, but still playing, is freedom from pressing for perfection and fear to post. Happy weekend everyone!

    Man, that was great! Love the double bas notes and percussion. That’s not easy. Don’t be so hard on yourself you did awesome!!

    Good benchmark. One of the interesting things about us all doing a benchmark song from the same source is that I can see what you are doing and think, “Well @Philb has that piece down very well. I need to work on that more.” Great encouragement.

    Nice one @Philb ! Really cool the way you integrated the lick into the progression – a good body of work.

    @outdoorgator @albert_d @Bill_Brown @Tricia_Lynn

    Thank you all for listening and the kind words.

    @Bill_Brown That little lick proves necessity is the mother of invention. I lost my composure/place, and quickly improvised to keep it going, then got back on track. LOL It was not planned.

    Love the mentality Philb! Sounded great and the ability to just plow on and keep the music going is not to be underrated. Rock on and hope you have a nice week ahead.
