I’m thinking Tony is getting a cut from Larivee. 😂

My new Larivee OM-40 showed up yesterday. It traveled from warm climate (Vegas), through cool/cold climate (spent the weekend in Kansas according to tracking), then back to warm as we have had a couple of nice days. So, I was a good boy and left it closed in it’s case all afternoon and night to let it acclimate. Got it out for the Daily Challenge today. Sounds great! I already have a Dread and OOO size, so I looked for an OM.

Funny, it doesn’t sound like that when I play it……..yet. 😏

I have my eye on a real nice Furch that they have, too. Hopefully somebody buys it soon.

Thanks for the heads up, Tony. I had heard of Larivee, but never heard one until the Acoustic Tuesday show. 👍🏻

  I’m an on again, off again woodworker and have always liked Koa. I liked the guitar so I chatted with them (Heartbreaker). Jace sent me the link to the video and I was hooked.

What a very cool purchase Rando! Congrats, and she is a beaut. You’ll have to play her for us. And yes, it seems there’s a lot of new guitars floating about!

I can categorically announce that I won’t be getting a new Larivee unless I stop planting hedges for a wildlife charity and get a job as a hedge fund manager! Although I did get a new Paul Reed Smith Standard SE electric for my birthday last month… and a guitar rack from the wife…. so yes I guess you’re right.

But seriously that sounds epic. I hope you really enjoy it and look forward to seeing a Play for Us post soon. 🤟😎🎸

  PRS makes a nice guitar. I have an SE acoustic that I bought used a couple months back.

    Rando – congratulations! I love the Larrivee brand. My first guitar was a Parlor and I also have an L-05E. They are great guitars – well done!
    
    I get the “😬” regarding putting a video out there. What if you record a video and just strum 1 or 2 chords?
    
    1) no pressure for a song or exercise
    
    2) you get over that first “red light 😬”
    
    3) and ….. we get to hear your beautiful new guitar!

  Hedge fund manager, I get it. It sleeted and iced here today so I’ll be doing some hedge fund management when it warms up.

congrats! Awesome guitar. It showed a lot of patience to let it acclimate, good job there. I was not so kind to my new Taylor, only let it sit an hour (because I wasn’t home when it was delivered).

  Then adult brain took over. It’s not Christmas Eve and your certainly not 8 years old anymore. Just leave it.
  
  Now, had it not gone through different climates to get here, then maybe things would have been different. 🤔
