  • Augmented chord

I have a goal of learning 4 songs. I needed an augmented chord for my first song. I can now successfully grab the augmented chord. Yay!

Great win! Can you share more details about the song and the chord?

      Thanks for asking @dr_dave .

I’m playing an old cowboy tune called Happy Trails (sung by Roy Rogers and Dale Evan’s and Van Halen). The chords I have go from a C7 to a C7+ to an F, so I had to figure out what the C7+ chord was. It must emphasize part of the melody because it fits quite nicely when you are singing along

Nice win. Augmented and diminished chords are not something often used, but when they are used in context sound really awesome!

Good job, Carl1909. That means a lot. The more different chords you can grab, the better you get at learning new chords and even grabbing chords you already know. Thanks for posting.
