    Billy In The Lowground

Worked on this all day and it’s the best we’ll get today. Still need to overcome a couple hesitation spots but wouldn’t quit without a post.

Perfection is the enemy of progress. I keep hearing that in my head, but…. why the heck can’t I get it perfect just one time geez pleez I’m on my kneez here,. so after last weeks show I decided it was rewad time so….. I added more strings to my life, and here I present my newest 12, really hard to fingerpick pick with- like a wall of strings but- when I emptied the 2lb coffee, the soft flexible plastic lid got me thinking and motivated to make a few homemade guitar picks in different shapes and sizes. I really really like that soft plastic on the 12 string. That’s what I’m using here. Time to shut up and play.

@LoveMyHoodie I thought you did a fabulous job playing this, and especially picking on a 12 string. Happy new guitar day too! Have you showed off the guitar on the forums? What make/model? Photos?

So, you’re a perfectionist and an innovator (picks from a plastic coffee can lid. Were you an engineer?

You’re right about engineering because the peak of my professional experience was working as a CNC (computer numeric continued) Design and Fabrication department head. But that’s a long way from guitar picks.

The new guitar is a Breedlove Pursuit Exotic S Concert 12-String CE with the Amber finish. Got it from Butler Music in Harrisonville Missouri and my Sears Mastercard gave me a promo $300 statement credit for spending over $500 – like me you might ask How can they do that? I called first to verify, sure-nuff, they did what they said. Done deal, Happy Camper here. Gives me motivation to go right back and redo Counting Crows and Eagles again right now. More FUN ahead!

Love the backstory! Now you’ve got enough for a whole lotta picks! Enjoy!

Now don’t dis yourself with “right”. That was a fine rendition. And with two sets of strings at once. Thanks for caffeinating and putting it out there.

Lol that guitar and pick combo sounds like your using a phaser pedal. Now if I can just find me a reverb plectrum!
