If you’re a Dead Head you probably recognize this song, Morning Dew. It is actually a post-apocalyptic folk song written by Canadian folk singer Bonnie Dobson. The Grateful Dead made it famous. It was also covered by the rock band Nazareth. And a few years ago Bonnie performed it with Robert Plant.

Nice job! I knew about the Dead version of the song but didn’t know it was a cover. Did I hear some hammer-ons going on? Sweet

Thanks, @Alfred ! I had heard that it was an old traditional song. Then I did the research on it. If you’re a rocker, you should listen to Nazareth’s version — quite different.

The whole Nazareth song was carried by the galloping base.

After Listening to the original, Robert Plant, GD, and Nazereth, I have to say I like Plant’s production of this song best.

        Thanks Michelle!

Thank you @AttyTJ ! You should go on youtube and listen to the songwriter sing it. She has a beautiful soprano voice.
