Day 89 of the 100 Day Project
Posted by Michelle-PSL on April 29, 2021 at 6:07 pmOh, to be able to sing like Sarah McLachlan! A person can dream…😴
This is a shortened version of her song “Building a Mystery.” I had such a difficult time remembering the lyrics that my timing is off, but I was too pooped to record again – I’d already done a bunch and this was the best of the lot. You know my saying – it is what it is. 😊
Thanks for watching! The countdown continues…⏱

Thank you @Christopher_H ! No effects, just a bad mic, I guess. I paid $150 for it, but guess it wasn’t enough. Or a bad A.I. Paid $99 for that, but guess that wasn’t enough either. I’m tech challenged! I can’t figure out what is and isn’t working. And sometimes things sound great. I don’t have a clue… 😕

I too am struggling with getting the right sound. I bought a $99 USB mixer (still on back order from Sweetwater) that I’m hoping will let me set levels better. I have a cheap M audio USB interface, but it is quite temperamental. We will get there one day lol.

Nice Job Michelle! Nice take on the song!
oh a few years back… I got a surprise when some friends talked me into attending a Chris Isac concert, and as it happened Sarah McLachlan opened. That concert became the Sarah Mclachlan Concert that I went to, and oh yeah Chris Isac was there too… He’s ok I guess, but…It made the tickets more than worth it (I like her WAY more than Chris Isac) This is a great song! thanks for doing it.
(Chris Isac is a good entertainer though, don’t get me wrong)

Great song, I was curious of how you were going to handle the “a beautiful blanked up man, but you didn’t have to deal with it. I try to keep it clean, because of my grandchildren. We used, heck instead of hell in Angel from Montgomery. Anyway nice job even though the lyrics are a little tough in this one, Keep on keeping on, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You are doing a great job!

Hi @Dirk_R . I didn’t get to the verse with the curse. I just did the first two verses. I would replace it with “messed up” for the grandkids, and keep it clean. The song played on the radio, and I know it was a clean version. So I’m sure she substituted the F word with something else… And thank you for all your support and encouraging words!
