No “Girl Power” set would be complete without “Jolene” by Dolly Parton, which is today’s recorded song. (A slowed down version…) That said, I just want to punch Joleen in the nose and kick my covetous man out of the house! 😁 I heard Dolly talk about the inspiration for this song, who was a pretty young bank teller who constantly flirted with her husband. Suffice it to say I would have written a slightly different kind of song…😡
