Finding previous month lessons
Posted by bugmeist on July 20, 2022 at 7:07 amI was away the last week of June and couldn’t get or save the lessons. Is there a way to get them now?

@bugmeist unfortunately, there is no archive of previous months lessons. You can only go back to pick up earlier lessons from the current month. But, if you have ever “favorited” a lesson by clicking on the heart icon, it creates your own personal archive within TAC that you can access whenever you like. You can also download the TABs for the daily lesson, and store them on
your hard drive and/or print them out to make your own lesson library. One trick that others have suggested is to visit other members’ profiles because you can view their favorite lessons from there. You can’t search for a specific lesson but it does allow you more access to random lessons that others have on their fav list. You could try posting a request for the week you’re looking for, if anyone has favorited any of those lessons, they might post back and then you would know which profiles to go find the lessons you missed.
And remember, if you miss a daily lesson, you are not behind. Every lesson can stand on its own so just pick up where we are today and get back on track. Nothing to make up for 🙂

@bugmeist : We worked the last week on of last month on the Bass Walk Challenge. If you have not had a chance to go through it yet, I loved it. Many many good nuggets in there. You can find it in the “Challenge” section of “Skills Courses”. I have two of the warm ups in my favorites: Ring Finger roll and Strong Pairs. I am still challenged by Ring Finger Roll and find it an exceptional finger strength builder and visit it regularly. Not sure about the rest. @Carol-3M-Stillhand is right though, today is the best day for today’s lesson. Put focused energy into that and you will be rewarded. You didn’t miss anything. It all comes round the horn again. Sorta like a scale, where does it start and stop?…just depends on what you want to call it. Just a big circle.

Hey @bugmeist , I joined in May 22 and found it very frustrating that previous lessons were not easily accessible 🫤. When I learned that “favoriting” the lesson provides a path back I’ve been favoriting every one of them ever since. 😁. The issue here is that none of the lessons that show up in my favorites list is date stamped in any way. They are categorized by the 5 daily challenge categories (technique, guitar licks, improvisation, rhythm guitar and chord transition) however there seems to be no other “metadata”. While the names for the challenges chosen by Tony are entertaining they don’t necessarily lend themselves to providing hints to what is covered. In any case, feel free to roam through my favorites!

@bugmeist , I have run into this issue a few times. So now I save the challenges to my computer. I’m assuming you have an IPhone . you could open up TAC and just save it and email it to yourself or like other have said ‘favorite’ it. In the meantime….. I’m attaching the last week of June.

Good Morning @Cadgirl , all the challenges can also be accessed through the “Skills Courses” in the menu. There is a lot of stuff in there so I sort them by searching “Challenge” and they all come up in one list.

All of the 5 Day Challenges. As far as I can remember it does. But I forget to take out the garbage.

I began favorite-ing the lessons a while ago, but as they add up they are harder to find, since there is no search in Favorites (that I’ve been able to find). What I’ve done is drag, or copy and paste, the links from Favorites into a note or wp document. Now I can organize and search them. As long as I’m logged in to TAC, the links in the document will open the lesson I click on.

I have had good luck by visiting my history. I just make sure during the time I’m away, I go once into the challenge and then when I get back and go to that page, the whole month will show up in my history via the menu on the left. I picked up a whole 3 weeks back in September that way after being out of town.
Here’s a link to the last lesson from November:

I THINK (not sure) you might be able to access all the lessons from there. Will be interested to see if it works for more than just me.

Oy, just realized you said JUNE and I had to clear my browsing history after that. So I don’t have a June link. Hoping someone else’s approach can help you out. Sorry!
