Finished FBW
Hey y’all..after a false start in mid 2021 I restarted Fretboard Wizard about a month ago. Worked through the whole thing. Wrote my song today and high fived myself. I’m thinking that there are really only two facets of great guitar playing: 1) knowing where to put your fingers to play the right notes….and 2) training your fingers to do it. TAC has a bit of both. After I get a bit more polished in my technique I think I’ll repeat the FBW again. Don’t want to forget it. BTW look for my flat picking bluegrass videos sometime in the near future when I actually figure out how to record myself.

Finishing the Fretboard Wizard is a great accomplishment. I have done it a couple of times now and still learn something new. I’ll be looking for that Bluegrass Video 🙂

That’s a definitely great accomplishment @markvguitar! Yes, I too am a FW “grad” (although writing a song seems to be a big mental block for me). I put that in quotes because the learning is never ending (and thank goodness for that too!). Although I first did FW years ago I come back to it every now and then for a refresher, a reminder and for the additional nuggets of wisdom I seem to glean from each time around. Let FW sink in a bit and then go definitely back and do it again is my advice. In the meantime bask in the glow of all the knowledge you got. HUGE win!
